Use YouTube’s history for comments you wrote
Your comment history is account activity. SearchComments cannot and should not ask for access to it. YouTube’s own page is the correct place to review comments and replies posted by the signed-in account.

Find your YouTube comments on desktop
- Sign in to YouTube.
Use the Google account—and, where applicable, the YouTube channel identity—you used when posting the comment.
- Open Comment History.
Go directly to youtube.com/feed/history/comment_history. If YouTube redirects you, confirm that the correct account is selected.
- Scan the entries by video and comment text.
The page lists comments associated with the signed-in history. Use your browser’s Find command here because the history page is already the account-specific list—not an infinitely scrolling public thread.
- Open the original conversation.
Click or tap the content link for an entry. YouTube returns you to the video or post where the comment appeared when that source is still available.
If the history is empty or unfamiliar, the most common cause is being signed into a different Google account or YouTube channel identity. Switch accounts, then reload the history page.
Find YouTube comment history on iPhone or Android
The direct history URL is the most stable route on mobile because app menus can move between versions.
- Open a mobile browser.
Visit YouTube Comment History and sign in if prompted.
- Use the same Google account as the YouTube app.
If the browser opens a different account, tap the profile image and switch before judging the result.
- Alternatively, open YouTube’s data controls.
In versions that expose the route, open your profile, then Settings or Your data in YouTube, followed by the history/interactions controls for comments and replies.
- Open an entry in YouTube.
The link may open the app or mobile website. If the highlighted thread does not appear, switch the comment sort and confirm that the comment still exists.

Find one old comment faster
YouTube Comment History is chronological account activity, not a full-featured search database. Use what you remember to narrow the job.

Edit or delete a comment from history
Comment History takes you back to the public source. From there, use YouTube’s comment menu to edit or delete your own comment. Deletion removes the public comment; it is not a way to hide it only from the history page.
- Open the comment from history.
Select the relevant entry so YouTube opens the original video and thread.
- Open the comment’s More menu.
Use the three-dot menu beside your comment. Make sure you are acting on your own comment, not the parent comment in a reply thread.
- Choose Edit or Delete.
Edit changes the public text. Delete removes the comment. A deleted comment may not disappear from every cached screen instantly, but it will no longer be part of your usable public history.

Why an old YouTube comment may be missing
You are signed into the wrong account or channel
Switch to the Google account and YouTube identity used when posting. Then reload Comment History. Check this before assuming data was deleted.
The video was deleted or made unavailable
YouTube states that comments left on deleted videos will not appear in Comment History. Private, removed, or region-restricted sources can also prevent you from reopening the original conversation.
YouTube removed the comment
A comment removed for a policy violation does not appear in history. Spam detection, reports, and channel moderation can also make a comment unavailable publicly.
The channel owner removed or hid it
Creators can remove comments, hide users, hold comments for review, and block words or links. A public viewer cannot access a comment that is no longer public.
The comment is a reply
The entry may return you to a thread that is collapsed or sorted differently. Expand replies and confirm that you are using the same account identity.
A missing history entry is evidence that the comment is not available through that account view now. It is not proof that the comment was never posted.
When SearchComments is the better tool
Use SearchComments when you already know the public video and need to search the discussion itself—for example, to find product questions, creator replies, bug reports, repeated phrases, or a visible commenter.
